Fifty… and never looked better!

ABOUT US

Founded in 1974, Oregon Repertory Singers is a premier choral arts non-profit organization that performs music both rare and recognizable, encompassing a multitude of eras, languages, and musical styles.

With over 100 members, ORS is a close community of singers from all walks of life throughout NW Oregon and SW Washington.

Both experienced and versatile, ORS performs repertoire from the newest generation of composers alongside celebrated choral masterworks and music from other cultures and countries.

MISSION

Enriching the community through choral music.

VISION

Responsibly develop Oregon Repertory Singers to expand diversity in our choirs, repertoire, and audiences.

VALUES

Artistic Excellence
Oregon Repertory Singers promotes and elevates choral music of the highest quality and provides the opportunity for singers to express and improve their artistry.

Breadth & accessibility of repertoire
Our choirs perform works across the ages of choral music and cultures. We revive rarely performed gems and champion newer works to be heard by an expanding audience.

Education
Our youth choirs learn to sing what they hear and write what they sing. In the adult choir, the breadth of repertoire encourages learning of languages and cultures. Audiences are then invited to broaden their experience.

Share passion, joy and inspiration of choral music
In choral music we embrace beauty in harmony and touch the hearts and souls of our audiences, our community. In doing so we tell the many stories of our humanity.

Inclusion
We are strongest when we welcome all who share a passion for choral music. We are committed to our choirs and audience reflecting our world.

Auditions

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Oregon Repertory Singers!

The audition process has changed this year. Auditions will be by video link submission first and then if selected, you will be asked to come in for an in-person audition with Dr. Sperry.

Auditions will be rolling throughout the year. If the form is still posted here, you can still submit!

Video details: You will be asked to provide a link to a 2-3 minute video of you singing. If it's a longer video, please provide a time stamp to facilitate the process and ensure we listen to the portion of the video that you want heard. Video link can be to any working platform, e.g., YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, etc. Double check that your link works!
