first annual CHOIRFEST NW
Students came together for a one day invitational clinic for choral singers ages 13 to 19 hosted by ORS Youth Choir and Artistic Director Aubrey Patterson and in partnership with Portland State University Chamber Choir and ORS Artistic Director and PSU Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Ethan Sperry.
Singers learned sight reading and literacy skills and some tips and tricks for their voice type, as well as some tangible skills to apply to leading a sectional in their school’s choirs. The day concluded with a joint performance with the Portland State University Chamber Choir. It was a fun, fast-paced, wonderful day!
